Name
From Wikipedia, Norumbega is a legendary settlement in northeastern North America which was featured on many early maps from the 16th century until European colonization of the region. It was alleged that the houses had pillars of gold and the inhabitants carried quarts of pearls on their heads.
The Company’s founders grew up in the area once believed to be the site of Norumbega (Maine) and we see advanced algorithms, when combined with human agency, expertise, and creativity, as a means to enabling the abundance envisioned in the legend.
